S&O IP Hosts Key IPR Training for Uzbekistan Authorities in Tashkent

On October 16, 2024, S&O IP organized a training session on intellectual property rights (IPR) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Strategically located in Central Asia, Uzbekistan is a crucial hub for trade, sharing borders with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.

Participating authorities included the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, all customs posts of Tashkent, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Department of Justice of Tashkent City, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The session provided practical insights into brand protection and methods to improve enforcement. Through hands-on experience with genuine and counterfeit samples, participants learned to distinguish authentic products.
