S&O IP Cambodia Conducts First 2025 Training for Customs Officers

On February 18th, 2025, S&O IP Cambodia successfully held its first Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) training of the year with the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) for 25 frontline customs officers from Sihanoukville and Koh Kong provinces. The training took place at the Tumnub Rolok Customs and Excise Office in Sihanoukville.

Mr. Heng Sombo, Chief of Sihanoukville Customs and Excise, representing His Excellency Dr. Kun Nhem, Minister attached to the Prime Minister and Director General of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, emphasized the importance of this training. It will help customs officers enhance their skills in line with the Customs Action Plan 2025 and strengthen efforts to combat cross-border trafficking of counterfeit goods, ensuring better protection for both national and international consumers.

The S&O IP team collaborates closely with customs authorities, actively supporting efforts to combat counterfeiting at the borders.
