CAMBODIA AND KOREA STRENGTHEN IP COOPERATION

On May 13, 2024, Cambodian Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the National Intellectual Property Committee Cham Nimul had a meeting with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) to exchange views on improving intellectual property cooperation training and other important issues.

During the meeting, the Minister stressed the value of cooperation between KIPO and the Ministry of Commerce. H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul also highlighted the National Intellectual Property Policy 2023-2028 as a roadmap for IP development, showcasing the Royal Government of Cambodia's dedication to bolstering IP protection and enforcement. This commitment aims to foster the creation of new goods and services, spur technological innovation, and cultivate a fair and competitive business and investment environment.

During the meeting, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen intellectual property cooperation, particularly focusing on creating a flexible framework to facilitate bilateral cooperation.
