TRAINING ON COUNTERING COUNTERFEIT ALCOHOL TRADE IN CAMBODIA CONSUMER PROTECTION COMPETITION AND FRAUD REPRESSION DIRECTORATE GENERAL

On May 12, 2023, the Consumer Protection Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF) cooperating with The Asia Pacific International Spirits and Wine Spirit Beer Importers & Distributors Association and the Beer and Wine Importers and Distributors Association (WSBIDA), organized a training course on countering counterfeit alcohol trade in Cambodia with the Consumer Protection Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF) about 120 officers. The participants in this training course are all the Presidents, and the Vice President of all branches from each province in Cambodia from all 25 capitals and provinces throughout the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The Training was presided over by H.E PHAN Oun Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia in Charge as Director General of CCF, Mr. Tan Ser Chhay, President of the Wine Spirits Beer Importer Distributor Association (WSBIDA) and Mr. Daniel Greif, DIRECTOR/SENIOR TRADEMARK ATTORNEY Intellectual Property of S&O.

The training was a conference and mechanism to provide additional knowledge to the investigating officers of the Consumer Protection Competition and Fraud Repression Directorate-General (CCF) to be able to differentiate between the authentic and counterfeit products, trained by an expert from S&O, a company specializing in proprietary representation. The intellect of many famous companies in the world. 

At the same time, the training emphasized the importance of cooperation between the private sector and law enforcement agencies in the fight against counterfeit products in the market, as a way to reduce challenges. And the complexity of finding law enforcement officers' offenses, as well as ensuring effective law enforcement.
