On July 3-6, 2025, the S&O IP Uzbekistan team conducted successful training sessions in the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara, reinforcing efforts to combat counterfeiting and safeguard intellectual property rights.

A total of 45 officers participated in the trainings — 20 from the Samarkand Region and 25 from the Bukhara Region. Participants included representatives from the regional Departments of Justice and the State Customs Committees.

The sessions focused on improving the identification of counterfeit goods and deepening participants’ understanding of brand authentication features. Emphasis was placed on practical tools for frontline enforcement and on strengthening coordination between relevant authorities and rights holders.

The interactive format encouraged active engagement and open dialogue, allowing officers to share field experiences and address region-specific enforcement challenges. The trainings also highlighted the critical role of inter-agency collaboration in sustaining effective IP protection across Uzbekistan.
