CAMBODIA ANNOUNCEMENT: IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PAPERLESS TRADEMARK REGISTRATION SYSTEM

On September 25, 2025, the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) under the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia issued an announcement on the implementation of the Paperless Trademark Registration System.
The announcement informs all trademark agents and applicants’ representatives (trademark owners) that, in order to enhance efficiency, improve the convenience of trademark registration, and strengthen public service delivery, the Ministry of Commerce has decided to implement the Paperless Trademark Registration System, effective from September 30, 2025.
From this date onward, all documents related to trademark registration will be processed and managed through the system in fully digital form. Furthermore, all documents issued by the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) in connection with trademark registration will be provided to trademark agents and applicants’ representatives exclusively in electronic format.
Please note: The conditions and required documents for trademark registration remain unchanged. However, trademark registration certificates will now be issued with a digital signature only, and physical certificates will no longer be provided.
