VIETNAM AND WIPO STRENGTHEN COOPERATION ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Ambassador Mai Phan Dung, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations in Geneva, during a meeting with the Organization on April 9 highlighted Vietnam's deep appreciation for their collaboration. Dung stressed the pivotal role of intellectual property in driving economic growth and underscored Vietnam's commitment to leveraging new technologies to reduce emissions. Andrew Ong, Director of WIPO's Division for Asia and the Pacific, commended Vietnam as a beacon of innovation and a supporter of women-led SMEs. He highlighted Vietnamese SMEs' success stories, showcasing them on WIPO's platform to inspire others and boost their market presence and exports.

Dung expressed gratitude for WIPO's effective assistance in enhancing Vietnam's intellectual property landscape through technical projects and capacity-building initiatives. He assured continued efforts to strengthen cooperation between Vietnam's delegation in Geneva and WIPO and urged ongoing support from WIPO for Vietnam's intellectual property endeavors.
