Vietnam’s Innovation Enterprises and Patent Village is hosting Techfest Vietnam 2021 (‘Techfest”).

Techfest is the largest annual national event for the innovative startup community in Vietnam.  Techfest supports start-ups to reach potential customers including investors, experts, start-up support organizations and other domestic and international media agencies. 

Techfest is hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Techfest takes place from, 16 September to 25 December 2021 in Ho Chi Minh City, within the framework of the Ho Chi Minh City Innovation, Startup and Entrepreneurship Week.

Vietnam’s Innovation Enterprises and Patent Village aims to raise the image and positioning of Vietnam, develop the country’s intellectual property culture, and enable active networking among inventors, research organizations and enterprises. The Patent Village contributes to attracting more intellectual property assets; commercializing more inventions, and helping young people more easily access the fields of technological sciences and inventions.

The Patent Village includes a series of 5 activities, including  the "Honor of IPstar", organization with commercialization solutions for inventions − contests, seminars, trainings, and technology exhibitions.  Through these activities, individuals with the most patents granted during the period of 2016-2021, who found new models and feasible solutions to improve society will be honored at Techfest Vietnam 2021.

Many new technology villages have also been established in Vietnam in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Importantly, these villages contribute to Vietnam’s economic recovery.  The villages include the Logistics Technology Village, the Technology Pavilions for Local Agriculture Village, the Food & Tourism Village, and the Platform & Infrastructure Village.
