On March 4-5, Turkestan City hosted an international conference on "Legal Protection of Geographical Indications and Their Role in Promoting National Brands." Organized by the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan with support from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
ANGELINA TARASOVA (S&O KAZAKHSTAN Director) participated in a panel discussion with Elio De Tullio (Managing Partner of De Tullio and Partners, Italy), who provided his insights on the key aspects of GIs regulations in Italy and the European Union.
Additionally, a two-day exhibition showcased products from over 50 national entrepreneurs, with presentations on the application of geographical indications from representatives of Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and more.
