On December 26, 2024, the S&O IP Cambodia team conducted an intellectual property (IP) training session for 28 officials from the Anti-Counterfeit Commission (ACC) in Phnom Penh. The session aimed to strengthen enforcement efforts against counterfeit goods and enhance collaboration between authorities and brand owners.

The ACC, which operates under the Ministry of Interior, comprises 14 government agencies responsible for shaping policies, implementing strategic plans, raising awareness of counterfeiting issues, and safeguarding consumer and intellectual property rights.

Lieutenant General Phorn Ratha, Head of the ACC Secretariat, General Ngem Naro, Deputy Head of the Secretariat, and other key officials attended the event. Lieutenant General Phorn Ratha highlighted counterfeit products' severe economic and social impact and stressed the need for cooperation between enforcement agencies and brand owners to combat counterfeiting effectively.

Representing brand owners, we were honored to share expertise and practical insights on intellectual property rights with the ACC, reinforcing our commitment to protecting brands and consumers in Cambodia.
