On February 26, 2025, S&O IP Vietnam held a training session in Gia Lai Province, bringing together approximately 40 officials from key enforcement agencies, including the Market Surveillance Department, Police Department, Inspectorates, Customs, and Border Patrol.

Gia Lai, one of the largest provinces in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, is strategically located at the crossroads of major economic regions in the central and southern parts of the country. It also serves as a key trade route with Cambodia, with extensive borderlines and international checkpoints, including the Le Thanh International Border Gate. While the province offers significant market opportunities, it also faces growing challenges, particularly the increasing counterfeit goods and the transportation of illicit products.

Recognizing the vital role of enforcement authorities in tackling intellectual property (IP) infringements, the training session provided a platform to share expertise and discuss emerging trends in anti-counterfeiting efforts. The session highlighted the importance of continued collaboration with authorities to strengthen brand protection, especially during the restructuring of enforcement bodies in Vietnam.
