On October 4, 2024, S&O IP was honored to be invited as a key participant in the first regional Global Innovation Index (GII) ceremony for Central and South Asian countries, held in Astana, Kazakhstan, organized by the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan with the support of the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO.
The event's participants included Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Galymzhan Koishybayev, WIPO’s Assistant Director General Marco M. Aleman, Minister of Justice Azamat Eskaraev, and Minister of Digital Development Zhaslan Madiev, alongside corporate leaders and international experts. At this event, Angelina TARASOVA, S&O IP Kazakhstan Country Manager, represented our firm.
Marco M. Aleman emphasized the GII significance, stating: "It is a powerful tool to support innovative solutions and boost the economic growth of the participating countries. Kazakhstan demonstrates great potential in innovation, which is also the reason for holding our event here in Astana today."
Kazakhstan’s rise in the GII, from 81st to 78th place globally, underscores its commitment to fostering innovation and developing its intellectual property landscape. We are proud to be part of this journey and continue to support the region's progress.
