The European Patent Office (EPO) and the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) recently held their 18th annual conference in Chengdu, Sichuan. EPO President António Campinos and CNIPA Commissioner Shen Changyu led discussions on expanding the strong partnership between the two offices.

Starting from October 15, 2024, Cambodia's Department of Industrial Property (DIP), under the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation (MISTI), will implement penalties for late patent annuity and restoration payments.

Article 1 of the Administrative Measures for Credit Evaluation of Patent Agents says that it is necessary to thoroughly implement the decision-making and deployment of the "Outline for Building an Intellectual Property Powerful Country (2021-2035)" issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the "14th Five-Year Plan for the Protection, strengthen patent agency hierarchy and classified credit supervision, promote patent agencies and attorneys in accordance with the law, and maintain the order of the patent agency industry.

The fourth China International Consumer Products Expo, called the CICPE, recently concluded in Haikou, Hainan. The event brought together over 4,000 consumer goods brands from 71 countries and regions, showcasing more than 1,462 new products in their debut presentations.
