On February 28, 2025, S&O IP Cambodia attended the event "Trade Secret Law Update and Best Practices" at the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh. Organized by the American Chamber Law Committee in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Association of Cambodia, the event provided attendees with valuable insights into trade secret protection and management in Cambodia.

The event featured expert presentations on the realities of trade secret management in Cambodia, best practices for protecting trade secrets, and strategies for managing them in the absence of specific legal frameworks. Real-world case studies were shared to illustrate effective protection methods.

A panel discussion allowed speakers and attendees to exchange experiences and explore the complexities of trade secret protection.

It is important to note that Cambodia currently does not have a specific Trade Secret Law. However, an update was provided on the draft law, which is under development by the Ministry of Commerce and is expected to be finalized and announced in 2025.
