S&O IP and Vietnam Customs Seize Counterfeit Goods Intended for Export

This month, S&O IP Vietnam, in collaboration with the Customs Region II of Ho Chi Minh City, conducted an enforcement action resulting in the seizure of 85 carton boxes filled with thousands of counterfeit products. The shipment, intended for export, contained apparel and footwear infringing on our client’s registered trademarks.
This case highlights the increasing issue of counterfeit goods being exported and demonstrates the importance of having a customs recordal and an active IP representative to assist Vietnam Customs in enforcement actions.
