On March 26, 2025, S&O IP held an intellectual property (IP) training session for 31 frontline officials from Guangzhou Customs, with 35 additional officials from its 20 subordinate customs participating remotely via live streaming.

The session began with an overview of the brand’s products and registered trademarks, ensuring that customs officials were familiar with key product characteristics. Detailed information relevant to IP seizures was also provided, including the production and transportation methods of the products, as well as examples of previous customs seizures.

Director Zhao from the Intellectual Property Section of the General Administration of Customs attended the training and highlighted the importance of cooperation between customs authorities and IP rights holders. He emphasized that accurate and complete customs filing by rights holders is essential for effective law enforcement. Additionally, when rights holders actively utilize the customs general guarantee system, it helps streamline enforcement procedures. Furthermore, if rights holders identify any potential infringements, they can report these directly to customs, which will cooperate in taking appropriate action.

At the end of the session, Guangzhou Customs thanked S&O IP for organizing the training to enhance the knowledge and capabilities of frontline customs officials. The training is expected to improve the efficiency of customs inspections and IP enforcement throughout 2025.
