The Roving Seminar IP Eurasia, organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO), recently took place in Shenyang, Changchun, and Harbin. The seminar aimed to promote a better understanding and utilization of the Eurasian patent system among innovators in Northeast China.
EAPO President Grigory Ivliev, along with his delegation, presented six key topics, including insights into the Eurasian patent system. The seminar attracted nearly 400 attendees from industry, academia, and the IP sector across the three cities, fostering valuable discussions and strengthening international IP networks. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of CNIPA, highlighted the importance of intellectual property (IP) as a key driver for innovation and economic development, especially in the context of revitalizing China’s northeastern provinces and strengthening their IP capabilities.
This initiative is part of China’s broader effort to enhance IP awareness and improve regional capabilities for high-quality development and international collaboration.
