On July 24, 2024, S&O IP Vietnam conducted a training session in Da Nang City, joined by senior Customs Officials from the Customs Supervision and Management Division of Da Nang, the largest city in Central Vietnam. The focus was on identifying counterfeit products and enhancing the effectiveness of tackling counterfeit goods.

During these sessions, valuable insights were exchanged regarding counterfeit product identification. The collaborative dialogue delved into effective strategies for combating counterfeiting in Da Nang, covering areas such as airports, seaports, and industrial parks.

The officials expressed their gratitude for organizing the training. They emphasized the importance of the event, confirmed they will hold internal training sessions, and look forward to receiving future training sessions.

Engaging customs officials to stop counterfeits at the border is an efficient and cost-effective way to protect brands in Vietnam. Customs training is essential as it enhances officials' ability to identify counterfeit products and understand the distinctive features of genuine brands.
