On August 23, 2024, Qazpatent (Kazakhstan IP Office) and the management of the Center for Scientific and Technical Initiatives "Samgau" met to explore collaborative opportunities for promoting inventions and patents, as outlined in their Memorandum of Understanding.

Samgau, which focuses on advancing scientific and technological projects, is interested in enhancing the expertise of its R&D coordinators and staff in intellectual property rights protection. In response, Qazpatent proposed several initiatives to improve understanding of patenting processes, intellectual property registration, and support for innovative projects.

The meeting covered several key areas, including the development of joint educational programs on patent law and invention registration, mechanisms for supporting early-stage inventors, and strategies for creating scientific clusters. The meeting underscored the significance of collaboration between organizations dedicated to advancing scientific research and innovation in Kazakhstan.

Qazpatent is confident that this partnership will enhance inventive activity in Kazakhstan and bolster the country's standing in the global intellectual property arena.
