CNIPA AND EUIPO SIGN 2024-2025 WORK PLAN

At the 65th General Assembly of WIPO Member States on July 9, CNIPA Commissioner Shen Changyu and João Negrão, Executive Director of EUIPO, held bilateral talks. They discussed recent developments in intellectual property work and cooperation between China and the EU and signed a bilateral work plan for 2024-2025.
The collaborative efforts between CNIPA and EUIPO have facilitated the implementation of numerous bilateral projects. João Negrão expressed hope that both sides would expand cooperation areas and optimize cooperation content, benefiting IP users in China, Europe, and globally.
He also highlighted the valuable results of IP cooperation between China and the EU, acknowledging China's remarkable achievements in intellectual property in recent years. Additionally, he indicated that the two sides will continue to strengthen their strategic partnership, promote mutual benefits, and better serve Chinese and EU innovators.
The work plan signed at the conference aims to deepen further and expand practical cooperation in legal policy, information technology, examination work, training, protection, and services.
