A total of 47 national-level intellectual property (IP) fast-handling centers have been established or are under development across China as the country strengthens IP rights protection, according to the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).

The CNIPA recently approved the creation of two additional centers in Linhai and Yuyao, cities in Zhejiang Province, eastern China. These centers will provide expedited IP protection services to Linhai's fashion and leisure industry and Yuyao's plastic product industry, allowing for rapid application and granting of design patents in these sectors.

According to a CNIPA official, this initiative will build a specialized talent pool for IP protection, improve IP protection efficiency in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, and foster a favorable environment for innovation and business growth, especially benefiting small and medium-sized private enterprises.
