Kazakhstan has recently introduced an innovative electronic queue booking service to solve the problem of traffic jams at the borders with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). According to Yeldos Saudabayev, Director of the Control Department of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance, the service has already been used by more than 27,000 carriers, resulting in about 89,000 vehicles crossing the border without hindrance. The introduction of this digital system has not only accelerated cargo clearance, but also increased the transparency of transport operations.

The main problem causing the congestion of heavy vehicles at the border was the lack of available information about the situation at the border and the congestion at border crossing points. To address this problem, many countries have successfully introduced electronic queuing systems at their borders, which has helped to streamline the movement of goods and transport while ensuring transparency. In Kazakhstan, the electronic queuing system has become one of the most important tools for regulating traffic congestion at the border.

The digitalisation of border crossing procedures in Kazakhstan has led to a prominent increase in trade turnover and transit potential. In addition, this forward-looking approach has created a more favourable business environment and enhanced the country's reputation as a progressive member of the EAEU. The introduction of this system underlines Kazakhstan's commitment to improving the efficiency of trade and transport, as well as the transparency and fairness of customs processes.
