The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) recently held an IPR training workshop for Central Asia in Beijing. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of CNIPA, attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech.
The five-day training course offered classroom lectures, dialogue salons, and hands-on tours, where representatives of the patent examination departments of Central Asian IPR agencies engaged in deep discussions and exchanges.
Lu noted that on the basis of President Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the China-Central Asia Summit, the Chinese Intellectual Property Office established the China-Central Asia Intellectual Property Office Directors' Meeting Mechanism to further strengthen the foundation of intellectual property cooperation between China and Central Asia.
The training workshop is one of the practical measures to implement this mechanism and will focus on the IPR legal system and patent examination practice. It is expected that all parties will take this opportunity to deepen understanding, learn from each other, and expand practical cooperation.
