Azerbaijan Strengthens Patent Literacy Through Specialized Trainings

From February 25 to March 18, 2025, the Intellectual Property Agency of Azerbaijan hosted a training course titled “Drafting and Filing National and International Applications for Patent Law Objects” for staff from Azerbaijan Medical and Technical Universities. The course, organized by the Patent and Trademark Examination Center, covered topics including patent application preparation, examination processes, drafting techniques, and filing systems, with a focus on the fields of chemistry and medicine.

On March 18, 2025, at the closing ceremony, Sanan Tapdigov, a Board member of the Agency, emphasized the program’s importance in advancing innovation and improving Azerbaijan’s intellectual property system. He highlighted the Agency’s role in consolidating intellectual property functions and raising awareness through educational initiatives. Participants commended the course for its practical value and clarity, and certificates were awarded to those who successfully completed the program. This training is a key step in strengthening Azerbaijan’s expertise in patent law and fostering innovation.
