ADJUSTMENT OF TRADEMARK OFFICIAL FEES IN KAZAKHSTAN

Starting July 1, 2024, there has been an adjustment in official fees for expert services in Kazakhstan concerning the registration of trademarks, service marks, geographical indications, and appellations of origin of goods. Most official fees related to trademarks, service marks, geographical indications, and appellations of origin have increased by approximately 25%. These adjustments impact both corporate entities and individuals, including small and medium-sized businesses. Key fee adjustments include:

Application acceptance and examination fees for trademark registration:

• Legal entities: KZT 113,750 (Approx. EURO 219.50);
• Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs): KZT 85,312 (Approx. EURO 164.70);
• Individuals: KZT 79,625 (Approx. EURO 153.60).

Renewal fees for trademarks, service marks, collective trademarks, well-known trademarks, and publication of renewal information:

• Legal entities: KZT 182,146 (Approx. EURO 351.70);
• SMEs: KZT 136,609 (Approx. EURO 263.90);
• Individuals: KZT 127,502 (Approx. EURO 246.00).

Preliminary search fees vary from KZT 1,750 (Approx. EURO 3.38) to KZT 162,400 (Approx. EURO 313.70) depending on the scope and urgency of the search.
