Sakpetenti and GCCA Sign Memorandum to Strengthen IP and Consumer Protection Policies in Georgia

During the third International Conference on Competition and Consumer Rights Protection in Tbilisi, the Georgian IP Office (Sakpatenti) and the Georgian Competition and Consumer Agency (GCCA) formalized their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation. The agreement was signed by Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, and Irakli Lekvinadze, Chairman of the GCCA, with the goal of enhancing collaboration in intellectual property policies, consumer protection, and more.

The Memorandum outlines plans for experience sharing, joint consultations, and collaborative discussions on key topics of mutual interest. Both organizations committed to organizing expert meetings and launching initiatives to raise public awareness about intellectual property protection, competition, and consumer rights. These efforts will include targeted campaigns and events to engage the business community and promote understanding of these important areas.
