The National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (Sakpatenti) and the Batumi Kindergartens Union have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at fostering creativity and introducing intellectual property concepts to children at an early age. The memorandum was signed by Mr. Soso Giorgadze, Chairman of Sakpatenti, and Mr. David Diasamidze, Director of the Batumi Kindergartens Union.
As part of the initiative, Mr. Giorgadze presented Batumi kindergartens with specially prepared fairy tales on intellectual property. These engaging and educational stories are designed to spark children’s interest in creative thinking and help develop their creative skills.
The signing took place during a large graduation event at Batumi Central Stadium, which brought together 2,755 children, their parents, and teachers. The festive program included performances by a folklore ensemble, theatre troupe, choir, and solo artists, with children actively involved in the celebration.
This cooperation reflects Georgia’s broader commitment to strengthening IP awareness and building a culture of innovation from the earliest stages of education — an important step toward fostering long-term respect for intellectual property and supporting the country’s future creative economy.
