A delegation from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) visited the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia (Sakpatenti) to discuss cooperation between the two offices. The meeting focused on sharing information on IP legislation, examination procedures, and geographical indication (GI) protection systems.

The visit followed earlier milestones in bilateral cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding signed in July 2023 and a Letter of Intent signed in September 2024 in Beijing, establishing frameworks for knowledge exchange and joint initiatives in IP and GI protection.

This visit, marking the first official CNIPA delegation to Georgia after Commissioner Shen Changyu’s 2024 mission, underscores the growing partnership between the two offices in strengthening IP protection and supporting innovation in both countries.
