On September 9, 2025, the Intellectual Property Office of Armenia announced that discussions had taken place regarding the country’s potential accession to the EU4IP project. This initiative, supported by the European Union and the European Patent Office, is designed to strengthen intellectual property systems and promote innovation across partner countries.
By considering participation, Armenia signals its commitment to aligning more closely with international IP standards and enhancing cooperation with European institutions. Accession would provide opportunities for institutional development, capacity building, and greater support for local businesses seeking to protect and commercialize their intellectual property both domestically and abroad. For brand owners and rights holders, Armenia’s engagement with EU4IP would represent another positive step toward a more robust and internationally connected IP environment in the region.
