S&O IP TRAINS OFFICIALS IN UZBEKISTAN ON ADVANCED COUNTERFEIT DETECTION METHODS

On June 26-28, 2024, S&O IP conducted two training sessions across Samarkand and Bukhara Regions, Uzbekistan, focusing on advanced methods for detecting counterfeit goods. Led by S&O IP Associate, Renata IMANGALIYEVA, sessions aimed to equip officials with enhanced skills and knowledge in safeguarding intellectual property rights.
Participants from tax and customs authorities, the Department of Economic Crime Prevention, the Departments of Justice of Samarkand and Bukhara Regions, and other relevant organizations received training on methods to accurately distinguish counterfeit products from genuine ones, with a focus on identifying trademark infringements.
Officials emphasized the importance of the event and confirmed they will hold additional internal training sessions. S&O IP is committed to continuing collaboration with law enforcement officials, offering ongoing support in combating counterfeiting.
