On April 7-11, 2025, S&O IP participated in the "Caravan of Knowledge on Intellectual Property – 2025" training program, held in collaboration with the Training and Educational Center of Kyrgyzpatent and the Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic. The program focused on the theme "Practical Experience in Detecting Counterfeit Goods" and was designed to enhance the enforcement capabilities of customs officers stationed at key customs posts across the country.
The training took place at three customs locations in Batken, Osh, and Jalal-Abad, bringing together a total of 41 frontline officers—15 from Batken Customs Post, 13 from Osh Customs Post, and 13 from Jalal-Abad Customs Post. The sessions aimed to improve the detection of counterfeit goods and strengthen border control measures in response to increasing infringement activities.
Participants took part in case studies based on real IP infringement situations involving well-known brands. They also joined practical exercises on how to identify counterfeit products, understand the legal aspects, and assess the impact on the market. All activities were designed to match the actual conditions customs officers face in their daily work.
All attending officers appreciated the training’s practical value, especially how useful it was for their daily work in border control and IP enforcement.
S&O IP remains committed to supporting customs authorities in protecting intellectual property rights and combating the trade in counterfeit goods.
