S&O IP Conducts Counterfeit Detection Training for Officials in Kazakhstan

On August 19-21, 2024, S&O IP conducted two training sessions in Aktau, Kazakhstan, focusing on advanced methods for detecting counterfeit goods. The sessions, led by S&O IP Kazakhstan Country Manager, ANGELINA TARASOVA, aimed to equip officials with enhanced skills and knowledge in safeguarding intellectual property rights.
Participants from Kara Shekpen Customs Post, Temir Baba Customs Post, Auyezhai Aktau Customs Post, Department of State Revenues, Department of Justice, Department of Police, Department of Economic Investigations of the Mangystau Region, and other organizations received training on methods to accurately distinguish counterfeit products from genuine ones, with a focus on identifying trademark infringements.
Officials emphasized the importance of the event and confirmed they will hold additional internal training sessions. S&O IP is committed to continuing collaboration with law enforcement officials, offering ongoing support in combating counterfeiting.
