On the 14 August 2023 in the building of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Astana a meeting was held with Angelina Tarasova, a representative of the S&O IP in Kazakhstan.

During the meeting the parties discussed a wide range of intellectual property issues, from registration of trademarks to global experience of intellectual property regulation and specifics of its application in Turkmenistan. Information on the company's activities in different parts of the world was also presented at the meeting.

Speaking about the important role of international organisations, including the World Intellectual Property Organisation, designed to stimulate the use and protection of works of human capital, as well as to combat illegal trade and growing e-commerce, A. Tarasova stressed that the S&O IP is aimed at fruitful cooperation with the Turkmen side in all areas of interest by organising trainings for representatives of government agencies of Turkmenistan in the field of protection of trademarks and geographical indications.

At the end of the conversation, the parties confirmed their intention to maintain a regular dialogue in the above-mentioned areas.
