The Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) recently organized an event called "Copyright Talk," which aimed to provide guidance on the proper use of music copyrights. This event aimed to disseminate knowledge on the correct usage of music copyrights to entrepreneurs in Pattaya city, enhancing the copyright standards for Thai businesses. The event took place on July 6, 2023, at Pattaya City Hall, Pattaya, Chon Buri, Thailand, and was also streamed live on the Department of Intellectual Property's Facebook page.

Mr. Vuttikrai Leewiraphan, the Director-General of the DIP, Ministry of Commerce, stated the DIP was focused on improving the copyright system to serve entrepreneurs and individuals in the music industry. The goal is to ensure fairness for copyright owners and to enable them to receive appropriate remuneration within the Thai copyright system, which contributes to the development of competition and economic opportunities for entrepreneurs, authors, and society.

This event represented a proactive approach to empower entrepreneurs and individuals involved in the music industry, including authors, users, and those utilizing copyrighted musical works, by educating them on the application of legal frameworks to musical works and highlighting the importance of the Thai copyright system as a valuable tool for businesses.
