We are pleased to welcome Makhat KENESBAYEV as Senior Legal Counsel at S&O EURASIA in our Astana office.

Makhat is a highly experienced legal professional with strong expertise in intellectual property and administrative law, specializing in representation before administrative authorities and judicial bodies.

Prior to joining S&O EURASIA, Makhat worked at the National Institute of Intellectual Property (Kazakhstan IP Office), where he focused on international trademark registration, and later at the Ministry of Justice, serving as chief legal advisor on IP matters and a member of the Appeal Board reviewing IP-related cases. This background gives him a rare combination of regulatory, administrative, and litigation experience.

In his current role at S&O EURASIA, Makhat provides comprehensive legal support, advising on registration and annulment of IP rights and representing clients in administrative procedures. He also shares his expertise as a guest lecturer at Maqsat Narikbayev University and the L. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
