On July 22, 2025, S&O IP Thailand participated in a press conference held at Laem Chabang Port Customs Office in Chonburi province, following a major seizure of illegal goods — the largest in the past three months.
The seized items included a wide range of products involving both IP infringements and tax evasion. These comprised consumer products, cosmetics, printer ink cartridges, luxury fashion brands, electronic cigarettes, and even claw machine game units. The total estimated damage was over THB 88 million (approx. EUR 2.3 million). Customs officers conducted thorough inspections of incoming cargo containers, which led to the discovery and subsequent seizure of these items.
In addition to the press briefing, the event also featured the official destruction of the seized items, with attendees including high-level officials from the Ministry of Finance and representatives from relevant enforcement authorities in Thailand, such as the Customs Department, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), as well as trademark owners and their representatives in Thailand.
S&O IP Thailand team is honored to support the government's efforts to enforce the law and combat counterfeit goods, in order to protect the IP rights of brand owners.
