S&O IP THAILAND ASSISTS IN RAID AGAINST COUNTERFEIT GOODS IN BANGKOK

On August 28, 2025, S&O IP Thailand, in cooperation with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), carried out raids at three locations in Sampheng Market, Bangkok, a well-known wholesale and retail hub. The actions were conducted under search warrants issued by the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court (IP&IT Court) and led to the seizure of approximately 200,000 counterfeit products, with an estimated value of THB 20 million (approx. EUR 530,000).

S&O IP remains committed to the protection of intellectual property rights and continues to work closely with the DSI and other enforcement authorities in Thailand. Our team supported the operation by assisting in planning, securing warrants, and coordinating activities, ensuring an effective outcome.

From July 30 to August 2, 2024, S&O IP participated in the "Indo-Pacific Workshop on Enforcement Against Trade in Counterfeit Goods" at The Lancaster Bangkok Hotel. The workshop was organized by the USPTO Global IP Academy in collaboration with the ASEAN IP Academy, with support from the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
