On July 23-25, 2025, Almaty hosted a specialized three-day seminar organized by the Qazpatent Branch Training Center. The event brought together legal experts, IP professionals, business leaders, and representatives from academia and legal firms to explore key aspects of Kazakhstan’s IP regulatory landscape. The seminar offered an in-depth look into the legal frameworks surrounding trademarks, industrial designs, geographical indications, and designations of origin.

Key sessions focused on both national and international trademark registration procedures, application assessments, and the maintenance of state registries. Participants examined the Eurasian patent system, enforcement strategies against counterfeiting and unfair trademark use, and customs-related IP protections. Practical sessions featured database search tutorials (Qazpatent, Madrid Monitor), common registration mistakes, and real case studies.

Events like this help strengthen Kazakhstan’s IP community and contribute to building a robust, innovation-friendly legal framework.
