During the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO) Administrative Council meeting held in Ashgabat on 14-15 October 2025, member states, including the Republic of Kazakhstan, endorsed significant regulatory updates, covering fee alignment, examination procedure clarifications, and accession to the Hague Agreement’s Geneva Act.
Kazakhstan’s delegation emphasized its commitment to enhancing cooperation between the national patent office and the EAPO, improving patent‐granting procedures, and expanding regional integration in the Eurasian patent system.
For applicants and rights-holders, the outcome signals a strengthening of the EAPO framework and sets clearer procedural standards across the Eurasian region, particularly benefiting filings with cross-border impact, including Kazakhstan.
