According to the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan has recently joined the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Deposit of Industrial Designs. This move aims to boost international trade and protect intellectual property rights. The decision came after the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis approved draft legislation related to Uzbekistan's participation in the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement, which oversees the global registration of industrial designs.

This step means that Uzbekistan now offers its citizens a simpler way to register industrial designs in many countries covered by the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement.

By taking this action, Uzbekistan shows its commitment to encouraging innovation, safeguarding intellectual property, and promoting global trade. It's expected to help Uzbekistan's manufacturers by making it easier to access international markets and encouraging the development of new products.
