UZBEKISTAN AND THE UK STRENGTHEN INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY COLLABORATION

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the UK Intellectual Property Office have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral cooperation and fortify existing intellectual property systems. This agreement underscores the pivotal role of intellectual property in fostering economic and social development, as well as improving the competitiveness of businesses and nations.
On July 12, 2024, Muzraf Ikramov, Deputy Minister of Justice for the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Adam Williams, Chief Executive of the UK Intellectual Property Office, formally signed the MoU. This collaboration aims to facilitate the realization of shared goals in intellectual property protection and innovation support.
Effective from the date of signing, this MoU will remain in force for three years, setting the stage for continued partnership and mutual advancement in intellectual property.
