In August 2024, S&O IP China conducted two customs training sessions focusing on advanced methods for detecting counterfeit goods. The first session on August 7, 2024, was with Changsha Huanghua Airport Customs, where 8 frontline officials attended on-site, and 13 participated online. The second session on August 27, 2024, was jointly organized with Youyiguan and Pingxiang Customs, with 16 frontline officials attending.

Customs officials closely examined genuine and counterfeit samples, improving their ability to identify fake goods. They emphasized that reviewing real products improves their inspection skills and noted an increase in counterfeit seizures due to expanding transportation activity in their regions.

The Director of Changsha Huanghua Airport Customs and the Chief of the Intellectual Property Department at Youyiguan Customs expressed gratitude for the insights shared during the sessions, emphasizing that ongoing cooperation between customs authorities and rights holders is crucial for effective intellectual property protection.
