"IP STUDENT OLYMPIAD" ORGANIZED BY S&O KAZAKHSTAN IN COLLABORATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OF KAZAKHSTAN

We are glad to share the success of the recent "IP Student Olympiad" organized by S&O KAZAKHSTAN in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice of Kazakhstan, the Almaty Justice Department, and Qazpatent. Held from April 19-22, 2024, this national event brought together over 70 talented students from Suleyman Demirel University's Faculty of Law.

The primary objective of the IP Student Olympiad was to foster and develop students' interest in the legal aspects of intellectual property while equipping them with practical problem-solving skills in this specialized field.

The competition highlighted students' academic excellence and offered networking opportunities. The Olympiad winner earned a paid summer internship at our Almaty office. Additionally, standout participants were awarded internships with Qazpatent and the Almaty Justice Department.

We sincerely thank partners and participants for their contributions to the Olympiad.

On August 26, 2022, the Thai Department of Intellectual Property in cooperation with the Internal Security Operations Command, Royal Thai Police, Thai Customs Department, and the Department of Special Investigation, held the Annual Destruction Ceremony of intellectual property rights (IPR) infringing Goods at the 7th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Regiment at Don Mueang, Bangkok. The objective of the event was to ensure infringing goods do not re-enter commercial channels where they could be a threat to the health and safety of Thailand’s consumers.

S&O IP Participates in Indo-Pacific Workshop on Enforcement Against Trade in Counterfeit Goods

From July 30 to August 2, 2024, S&O IP participated in the "Indo-Pacific Workshop on Enforcement Against Trade in Counterfeit Goods" at The Lancaster Bangkok Hotel. The workshop was organized by the USPTO Global IP Academy in collaboration with the ASEAN IP Academy, with support from the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
