The new free service https://searchplatform.rospatent.gov.ru/trademarks operates in "24/7" mode and is available to any user. It allows to find information on trademarks registered by Rospatent, service marks, well-known trademarks, international trademarks protected on the territory of the Russian Federation under the Madrid Agreement, as well as filed applications.  

Prior to this service, searches were carried out using private search platforms, access to which is either fully or partially paid (usually in terms of filed applications).

Trademark searches in the Rospatent Search Platform are carried out by spelling (for checking against the visual similarity criterion), by phonetics (for checking against the sound similarity criterion) and by semantics (for checking against the semantic similarity criterion) - for verbal trademarks. The Search Platform also allows image search and attribute search by details. The image search is carried out using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. In order to narrow down the search results, the Search Platform allows you to set search criteria such as classes of goods and services, name of the right holder, registration date ranges of the searched trademarks, numbers of applications or registration certificates and many others.
 
In addition, if you go to the card of one of the similar trademarks, you will be able to obtain more detailed information about it, including a link to the open register with the content of the entire history of changes for this designation.
