European Union and Moldova IP Cooperation

On March 25, 2024, Mihai Popşa, Moldova's Foreign Affairs Minister, and João Negrau, the Director of the European Union Intellectual Property Office conducted a meeting in Chisinau, Moldova's capital. The purpose was to discuss the EU4IP project, which aims to improve intellectual property (IP) rights in Moldova, Georgia, and Ukraine. By strengthening the IP landscape, the project boosts economic and cultural development, increases small- and medium-sized enterprise potential, and raises investment attractiveness in the partner countries.

During the meeting, Mihai Popşa reiterated Moldova’s full commitment to its European integration way and emphasized the importance of cooperation for the promotion and protection of IP rights in Moldova.
