China is committed to enhancing the efficiency of intellectual property rights examination processes, particularly in big data, artificial intelligence, and gene technology. Wang Peizhang, an official from the China National Intellectual Property Administration, announced plans to streamline patent examination standards and reduce the average review time for invention patents to 15.5 months.

Additionally, efforts will be intensified to support the application and transformation of IP rights, including establishing more IP protection centers and providing guidance for Chinese entities dealing with overseas disputes. Initiatives such as enhancing IP-related public services, creating an IP protection information platform, and establishing national IP service industry clusters are underway.

Ge Shu, the official from the CNIPA, highlighted China's progress in the IP field, noting accelerated growth in high-value invention patents. The focus remains on reinforcing the rule of law in IP protection and strengthening legal frameworks to better serve innovators and businesses, ultimately contributing to economic and social development.
