Cambodia’s customs recordal system is now accepting trademarks, geographical indications (GIs), copyrights, and exclusive distribution agreements, offering significant benefits for IP rights holders. This system helps strengthen IP enforcement at the border by preventing IP infringement and parallel imports.

This leads to better brand protection for rights holders. She mentioned, "Cambodia’s customs recordal system is similar to those in neighboring countries but is still in its early stages and requires improvement."
While the system offers many advantages, challenges remain. For more insights from our colleague in Asia IP Magazine, read more here: https://lnkd.in/dPFdeWHa
