Armenia is a well-known transit country for counterfeit goods. In the South, counterfeit goods originating from China are distributed through Iran as part of its "One Belt, One Road" supply chain, and in the West through Turkey.
Armenia is a developing country, and the impact of relocation of Russian enterprises and reorientation of trade flows between Russia and foreign countries is tangible. As a consequence, the flow of counterfeit goods in the region is increasing.
Armenian customs officials have asked S&O IP to conduct an informative training session in order to better understand which brands to look at more closely, which will focus specifically on the trade in counterfeit goods and instruct the customs officers how to determine the features of the original goods.
